A Letter to our Clients, Colleagues and Advisor Partners

After weeks of uncertainty and panic, it is now clear that what is taking place across the globe is heavily impacting our nation, our businesses, our communities, our families and our day to day lives. How long it lasts and how it all plays out is unknown. The one thing we do know is that we are in it together. As human beings, it is our duty to support and take care of each other during this unprecedented time.  

Please know that our thoughts are with anyone who has been directly or indirectly affected by COVID-19, especially those that are sick and those that that are risking their lives on the front lines of this pandemic to care for people in need.  

Business Operations:  

The safety and health of our Cabana family and all of you is at the forefront of the difficult decisions we have been faced with this past week. With that in mind, all physical Cabana offices are closed effective immediately until further notice. Our employees began working from home this week and all in-person meetings moving forward will be held via conference call or video conference.  

Rest assured, knowing that our leadership, as well as our operations and trading teams have thoroughly prepared for this. New client onboarding, trading, liquidations, financial planning, legal counsel and retirement planning processes and services will continue as usual. Our high level of service, availability and communication remains intact as we sit today and as we navigate through the coming weeks. In terms of our day to day work and operations, nothing has changed. Our entire team is available via phone and email during and after hours daily. 

Communication:  

Transparent and regular communication has always been one of Cabana’s highest priorities. We work diligently each and every week to provide insights and information to our advisor partners and clients regarding world events and the state of the market. This communication is more important now than ever. Please know that we are here, and we will do everything in our power to keep you informed. Our Process in a Volatile Market:   

As market volatility and the constant influx of new and sometimes scary information continues, please remember that at Cabana, we have a process. That process is in place through unforeseen events and severe market downturns. It was designed with the primary objective of protecting against large losses and keeping clients invested over the long term. Our portfolios are tactical in nature, and by investing in broad assets classes, which our algorithm perceives attractive throughout the economic cycle, we take the issue of market timing out of the equation.
