Cabana is looking for a part-time summer intern to join our team in June. Our interns don’t just make coffee runs or file papers – they do real work for real clients and we consider them an important part of what we do to serve clients every day.
Matthew Blaylock, Cabana’s spring intern shared a little bit about his time here, what he has learned over the past four months and what future interns can expect.
Being an intern at Cabana involves team work, a strong work ethic, effective communication and the will to accomplish goals that will not only benefit you, but will also make an impact on the company. Many students seek internships in order to bolster their resumes and gain valuable experience that cannot be taught in the classroom. Interning at Cabana has done just that.
- Interning at Cabana requires a good, strong work ethic. In order to be an effective team member, one must go beyond the level of satisfactory. At Cabana, a strong work ethic is the difference between a good employee and a great employee.
- In a growing business, team work provides the fuel for the driving force behind the company. Cabana’s team work mentality allows us to deliver the best possible service to all of our clients.
- Effective communication is also a skill that is necessary in order to be a valuable asset to the company. As an intern I’ve learned how valuable communication with clients can be. I’ve also learned to communicate with teammates and ask the right questions to ensure I am always learning and improving.
- Determination is also a skill that I’ve picked up. The will to go above and beyond will not only benefit your character, but the company will also prosper as a result.
If you or someone you know would like to intern at Cabana, please contact us at email@example.com. We work with interns in our Fayetteville and Plano offices throughout the summer and school year. We’d love to meet you!
-Matthew Blaylock, Intern
